A Good Walk Spoiled : Days and Nights on the PGA Tour

Description

Golf is a sport of ritual and quiet desperation. John Feinstein, the comedian behind The Groundlings and Saturday Night Live's Sketch Comedy Revue, captures both with wit and affection in A Good Walk Spoiled. He takes the reader on the tour — not as a player, but as a student of the game's absurdity, its beautiful moments, and its infuriating contradictions. It's a meditation on what golf means to those who can't stop playing it.\n\nFeinstein's voice is familiar to anyone who has laughed at his stand-up or his Sketch Comedy Show sketches. He brings that comedic sensibility to the green, where each anecdote is a miniature comedy set and each chapter a short story. Readers will find themselves laughing at the absurdity of the sport and moved by the genuine emotion beneath it. The book is a love letter to golf, written by someone who knows exactly how funny and sad it can be.
